My pixel isn't identifying visitors
Last reviewed October 22, 2026
If no new visitors are showing up, the pixel is usually missing from your live site, your site's address changed, or your account reached its monthly limit.
Quick check
Does your website show an error or warning next to it in your DataMoon dashboard? If so, note the message; it points to the cause below.
Causes and fixes
The pixel isn't on your live site
How to tell: visitors stopped after a site redesign, a theme change, or a move to a new site builder. Fix: reinstall the pixel. See How to install the tracking pixel, then publish your site.
Your website address changed
How to tell: you moved to a new domain, but DataMoon still shows the old one. Fix: a new domain needs a new pixel. See How to change a website's URL.
Your account reached its monthly visitor limit
How to tell: visitors stopped partway through the month on all your websites at once. Fix: email support. We'll confirm your plan's limit and your options. The limit resets with your billing cycle.
There's no recent traffic
Fix: visit your own site in a browser, then check again. Low-traffic sites identify fewer visitors.
