How to sync an audience to Meta or Google Ads
Last reviewed October 22, 2026
Once Meta or Google Ads is connected, you can send any audience to it. DataMoon keeps it updated automatically.
Before you begin
Connect the ad platform first: Meta or Google Ads.
Steps
- Go to Audiences.
- Open an existing audience or create a new one.
- Select Sync/Activate.
- Choose your connected Meta or Google Ads account.
- Confirm. The audience appears in your ad platform after the first sync runs.
What's normal
- Matching takes up to 72 hours. Meta may show the audience as small or "too small" for up to 3 days after the first sync.
- Meta needs about 100 matched people before an audience is usable for ads.
- Syncs run daily as a full refresh. People who no longer qualify are removed, so the count can go down as well as up.
- Filter changes carry over automatically. Edits to an audience's filters, topics, or intent window apply to the synced audience on the next daily run. You don't need to re-sync.
Finding the audience in Meta
- In Meta Ads Manager, open Audiences.
- Find the audience by name and click it. The audience ID appears in its details and in your browser's address bar.
