What is the DataMoon pixel and how does it work?
Last reviewed October 22, 2026
The DataMoon pixel is a small tracking script you add to your website. It identifies anonymous visitors without asking them to fill out a form.
How it works
When someone visits a page with the pixel installed, DataMoon matches the visit to a profile in our identity graph. Identified visitors appear in your dashboard, where you can review them, build audiences from them, and send them to your other tools.
What to expect
- The pixel typically identifies 40–70% of visitors, depending on traffic source and cookie permissions.
- Each website needs its own pixel.
- Your plan sets how many websites you can track and how many visitors can be identified each month.
Limits
- Visitors who block cookies or tracking may not be identified.
- The pixel doesn't capture anything a visitor types into your site.
