Does DataMoon validate phone numbers or scrub against the Do Not Call list?
Last reviewed October 22, 2026
No. DataMoon returns mobile phone numbers matched to a specific individual in our identity graph, meaning the number is associated with a named person, not just a household or address. But:
- We don't validate numbers in real time. We don't check with carriers whether a number is currently active, assigned, or wireless vs. landline. Numbers reflect our identity graph at the time the data was compiled.
- We don't scrub against the National Do Not Call (DNC) registry. That's the sender's responsibility.
- We don't provide opt-in or consent records for the numbers we return.
What this means for you
Before using phone numbers for calls or texts, you're responsible for:
- Running the data through a third-party phone verification service.
- Scrubbing it against federal and state Do Not Call registries.
- Having proper consent under the TCPA.
For TCPA questions, consult qualified legal counsel.
