Data, Privacy & Compliance
What data DataMoon provides and how to use it responsibly.
Our Data
- What kinds of data does DataMoon provide?Consumer (B2C) data, business (B2B) data, intent signals, and identity resolution for website visitors.
- How visitor identification worksThe pixel records a visit; DataMoon's identity resolution matches it to a known profile using multiple data signals. Typical match rates are 40–70%.
- What is PULSE?PULSE monitors intent signals for the contacts already in your CRM and alerts you when one of them shows interest.
- Do you use Google or Bing search data? No. Keystroke-level search data belongs to the search engines and isn't available to third-party data providers.
Compliance
- How you can use DataMoon dataUse DataMoon data for your own lawful marketing, sales, and analytics. It can't be used for credit, insurance, employment, or housing decisions, or resold without written consent.
- Does DataMoon validate phone numbers or scrub against the Do Not Call list? No. Phone numbers are matched to individuals in our identity graph, but DataMoon doesn't validate them in real time or scrub them against the DNC registry.
- Using phone numbers for calls and textsVerify numbers, scrub against DNC, get TCPA consent, and register your texting campaigns. Unregistered texts are often blocked by carriers, which can make good numbers look invalid.
- What data does DataMoon exclude?DataMoon doesn't collect Social Security numbers, banking details, passwords, or other sensitive regulated data.
- Do I need a privacy notice on my website?Yes. You need a privacy policy with an opt-out method, and DataMoon recommends a banner or notice on any site where the pixel collects information.
- How consumers opt out, and how you handle deletion requestsConsumers can opt out at datamoon.com/opt-out. When DataMoon receives deletion requests that affect data you hold, you're required to honor them.
