You can use DataMoon data for your own lawful, internal business purposes, such as marketing, sales outreach, analytics, and audience targeting.
You may not
- Use the data in any way that breaks federal, state, or local law, including the FCRA, TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and state privacy laws.
- Use it for credit, insurance, employment, housing, or tenant screening decisions. DataMoon data is not a consumer report under the FCRA.
- Resell, sublicense, or share the data without DataMoon's written consent.
- Use the data on behalf of clients or any other third party without a signed agency or white label agreement with DataMoon. Standard accounts are for a single user, marketing one business only.
- Use it to stalk, harass, discriminate against, or harm anyone.
- Try to re-identify anonymized or aggregated data beyond its intended use.
- Scrape or extract data from the platform beyond authorized API use.
Your compliance responsibilities
- Email (CAN-SPAM): honor opt-out requests within 10 business days.
- Calls and texts (TCPA): get proper consent before telemarketing calls or texts.
- Do Not Call: scrub data against federal and state DNC registries before telemarketing.
- State privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA and others): provide required notices and honor opt-outs.
Breaking these rules can lead to suspension or termination of your account.
